FACT: Poor cable management can represent more business downtime than power outages within your computer room / data centre. A well cabled and organized room can decrease the risk of human error and ensures easier expansion and deployment of new equipment.
Racks and enclosures house more equipment today than ever before. This rise in equipment densities has increased the need for organized cable management both inside and outside the rack. Poor cable management can not only lead to damaged cables or increased time to add or change out cables, but can block critical airflow or access. This can lead to inefficiencies in the performance of your equipment or even downtime. These accessories offer the proper cable management options to meet varying needs. Solutions range from simple cable management rings, to vertical or horizontal organizers, to troughs and ladders.
le output receptacles and distributes power from higher-power devices such as a UPS to low
amperage single phase circuits in the rack (servers, switches, tape drives etc). Installing vertical Rack PDU’s unclutters the power cable distribution in your server room and expands the available outlets of the rooms UPS. There are 3 PDU ranges available and are all available in 10amp, 16amp and 32amp varieties:
Basic – Basic multiple outlet power board. Mounts in rear of the rack to power IT hardware.
Metered – Adds amperage metering to the basic PDU. An LCD display and network interface allows you to monitor how much power is being drawn in the rack. Switched - Allows each individual outlet to be switched on and off remotely using the network interface. Outlets can also be locked, which gives greater control of power distribution to the IT manager.

Tips: By setting power thresholds on your metered or switched PDU’s you can receive an alert when you are nearing the power capacity of your rack.
